Brethren,

    It is my pleasure to announce the 45th Annual Rudolf Harper Labor Day BBQ at Hunter Park. This event is a Douglasville Lodge tradition that the entire city has come to depend on. The BBQ is the termination point of the Labor Day Shriner Parade and offers something for the whole family. There will be good BBQ, arts and crafts vendors, historical displays and attractions for children. We are especially proud of the fact that this year we will be hosting a Georgia Child Identification Program this year in the lower level of the Hunter Park Community Center.

 

    As usual, the Senior Warden, Matt Gray, will be heading up the BBQ. We will need workers to help set up at the park and workers to help prepare and serve BBQ. Any assistance you may be able to offer should be coordinated through him.

Please keep the following times on your calendar:

Saturday, August 16th Morning - GACHIP Training ( The Eastern Star will also have a pancake breakfast so come hungry!)

Sunday, August 31st at 1:00 pm. - Meet at the Lodge and start set up

Monday, September 1st All Day - BBQ at Hunter Park

    I encourage all members of Douglasville Lodge # 289 to come enjoy camaraderie through labor, fellowship through family gathering and a sense of involvement through community participation.
